Abstract

The use of learning management systems (LMS) has become ubiquitous in higher education. LMS provide a platform for delivering course materials, facilitating communication between students and instructors, and managing student assessments. However, the effectiveness of LMS in promoting student learning outcomes has been questioned, and concerns have been raised about their impact on pedagogy and student engagement. This paper provides a critical review of the use of LMS in higher education, examining the advantages and disadvantages of their use, and identifying areas for further research.
