Abstract

Social media marketing is an effective way to change how people’s view on healthcare. More and more people are turning to social media platforms as a source of healthcare information, counsel, and suggestions as these platforms become more widely used. The use of social media marketing has made it possible for healthcare providers to produce and distribute interesting and useful material that appeals to their target market. Healthcare professionals have been able to spread the word about numerous illnesses and health conditions as well as preventive healthcare practice by using influencer marketing, social media campaigns, and targeted advertising. Social media has also made it easier for patients and healthcare professionals to communicate, which has improved patient - provider communication and management. Yet, as social media has grown in popularity, there have also been questions regarding the reliability and validity of the information provided on these sites. Healthcare professionals should therefore exercise caution when using social media and make sure that the information they share is trustworthy and supported by research.
